According to a CBS News/Vanity Fair poll, only 51% of Republicans could correctly answer the question “What does the abbreviation G.O.P. stand for?” when asked in a multiple choice format. Worse yet, 34% of Republicans responded that it stood for Government of the People.

Yes, over a third of Republicans believe that their political party’s nickname includes the word Government. I wonder if that same 34% of Republicans believe that government is the solution, not the problem? Maybe somebody should poll that.
