The Selling Of Sarah

STOP PRESS: Out of work beauty queen now reduced to posing for pictures at $16 a pop.

If you happen to bump into Sarah Palin, do be sure to ask her: “How’s tricks, governor?”

The scheme involves prices ranging from $15.99 for 5x7s to $34.99 for 11x14s. At those prices, there will be hefty profits indeed. And the photographer is so swamped by the sheer volume of business that as of this morning, her website shows that only photographs taken on the first two tour stops are ready to be ordered. That’s Grand Rapids, MI on November 18 and Fort Wayne, IN on November 19.

Clearly, the total profits from peddling these pictures are going to be the exact opposite of Palin herself, i.e. pretty substantial.

It’s not clear who’s pocketing the profits. It might be the SarahPAC (which describes itself as “Sarah Palin’s Official PAC”). Or this could be part of Sarah’s personal Triple-the-Money get-rich-quick scheme.

(It’s also interesting that although the photo scheme has been in place from the beginning of her book tour, the story started to gain traction only this week. This Nov 30 report of the Tempe, AZ book-signing — from a Fox TV station, ironically enough — seems to have been the first media mention. You would think that someone in the media might have registered the fact that no one in line to get their book signed was whipping out their cameras to take pictures. And that there was an official photographer on hand.)

Here ‘ya go Sugar, have a little Meow Mix to settle your tummy. I’d pay $34 for a nice 11 X 14 of me hugging the lady. How much would you pay to shake the dirty hand of All Gore or God forbid Bawny Fwank? I understand both of those are up around $1k if you can even get into the party. I feel like washing my hands just thinking about it.

The fact that Leftards hate her good looks, morals, professional ethics and Christian faith is no big whoop. But what really sets her apart is how much the GOB muckety-mucks fear her and to me that makes her all the more desirable.

Is the nice man who talks kinda funny (“no big whoop”?) calling me catty, now? In my own house, too? Not very nice, that.

But I just can’t resist a man with deep insight. And one part you got 100% correct is that we deeply fear the Palin. Don’t bring her on in 2012. Please, please, please?

And for the record, no one in recorded history has ever before charged money for photographs at a ruddy book signing. How much Gore or Frank charge (or charged) for fundraisers where you can have your photograph taken with them is entirely irrelevant when discussing the essential sleaziness of Palin’s action. But where would conservatives be without conflation?
