Will The DCeiver suggest President Summer’s Eve do drugs now?

Whispers in Albany ABC News (9/22/09):

So — following news reports that the White House has been encouraging New York Gov. David Paterson to not run in next year’s gubernatorial race — what did President Obama whisper to Paterson on the tarmac in Albany?

A knowledgable (sic) source says the president expressed his regret at how the story leaked and became such a media spectacle.

So Obama realizes that he botched this. Will The DCeiver abandon the ramparts or go down with the fort?

    “So Obama realizes that he botched this.” Ha! Or, alternatively, a reality-based analysis would conclude that he “realizes” that a story leaked to the press.

    Well, I am sure that Obama regrets the spectacle. But as far as “spectacles he regrets” go, it’s clearly pretty far down the list. Half an exhalation, and then push on.

    But again, the decision to encourage Paterson to quit the race is correct on the merits.

    See, I had a feeling that I’d eventually have to make some sort of generous donation of wit to expand your opportunities. I’d say that you ought to have been able to make more of it, but…you know–baby steps.
