Obama says he’s shocked, saddened by Tiller death:

President Barack Obama says he is shocked and outraged over the killing of an abortion provider at a Kansas church.

Shocked?

Tiller’s clinic was bombed in 1986. He was shot in both arms in 1993. Bill O’Reilly all but called for someone to stop Tiller in 2007. They’ve been coming for Tiller and many others for decades. What exactly is shocking to Obama? That they finally achieved the elusive combination of aim and timing to end Tiller’s life? Will Obama be “shocked” when it happens to another doctor? Will he be shocked when the anti-abortion psychopaths finally effectively overturn Roe by scaring the few remaining doctors who perform abortions?

The result of Obama’s actions since taking office suggest that he’s either been lying about his priorities all along, or that he’s a fucking rube. I’ve been questioning his absurd fetish for compromise since 2004. The battle over the stimulus was shocking to him; he simply couldn’t believe that Republicans would try to derail his package with spending cuts and high-income tax breaks. He even admitted to being surprised by an act that was telegraphed for literally months. And now we have the definitive example: how on earth do you compromise on abortion when people are willing to murder doctors in church?

When will Obama start actually fighting for what’s right rather than begging lunatics to accept just slightly less than they want?
