Josh Marshall, the undisputed typo king of the blogosphere, posted this more than four hours ago (this is the entire post):
I feel like we need one of those long-voweled boxing announcers for this. AEI’s Danielle Pletka has a post up on AEI’s blog playing up the ‘dueling speeches’ meme for the speeches President Obama and former Vice President Cheney will be giving tomorrow.
As we noted a few days ago, tomorrow morning at AEI pulling together the themes and angles he’s advanced in his recent series of media appearances into a global argument in favor of state-sponsored torture and indefinite confinement of detainees.
While Josh wasn’t looking, elves obviously crept out of the woodwork and stole part of that second paragraph. What is impossible to figure out is whether they stole several chunks or just one. If the latter, whether it was just a few words or a sizable chunk of prose.
But here’s the thing. The post has stood uncorrected for more than four hours.
Doesn’t anyone in the TPM family read their flagship home page? No one can read this post and fail to notice that it needs fixing. There’s no one at TPM who dares to point this out to Josh? Not one of Josh’s readers and friends who write in so regularly to him on all kinds of topics is embarrassed enough on his behalf to point this out to him? Or does Josh, in his vast professionalism, just imperiously ignore all such friendly pointings-out?
