Public Service Display Of The Badly Drug-Addled Brain

It’s a funny world when Premiere Radio Networks (a wholly owned subsidiary of Clear Channel Communications) is willing to pay $50 million a year to put on the air an extended public service message which demonstrates, by example, how badly drug addiction can addle the brain.

Of course, it can afford to do so only because of the millions of Americans who are, in turn, addicted to this extended public service message, which allows radio stations to interrupt the public service message with bread-and-butter commercials.

First up, to set the stage, Rep. Pete Sessions, the chairman of the National Republican Congressional Committee:

In an interview, Mr. Sessions cited rising unemployment in asserting that the administration intended to “diminish employment and diminish stock prices” as part of a “divide and conquer” strategy to consolidate power.

Mr. Sessions, in his seventh term, said Mr. Obama’s agenda was “intended to inflict damage and hardship on the free enterprise system, if not to kill it.” By next fall, he predicted, voters may regain appreciation for the era of Republican governance when “many dreams were achieved,” the size of the economy doubled and employment and financial markets hit record levels.

Mr. Sessions’ drug history does not appear to be public knowledge at this time. But he’s the same guy who argued three months ago that the Republican Party leadership should emulate the insurgency tactics of the Taliban. It’s probably safe to assume there is a substantial drug history, that will eventually come out.

It was in support of Pete Session’s lunatic notion that the President of the United States has set out to intentionally diminish employment and stock prices, and inflict damage and hardship on the free enterprise system, that Rush Limbaugh produced his latest vivid illustration of the severely drug-addled brain at work:

As the economy performs worse than expected, the deficit for the 2010 budget year beginning in October will worsen by $87 billion to $1.3 trillion. The deterioration reflects lower tax revenues and higher costs for bank failures, unemployment benefits and food stamps. But in the Oval Office of the White House none of this is a problem. This is the objective. The objective is unemployment. The objective is more food stamp benefits. The objective is more unemployment benefits. The objective is an expanding welfare state. And the objective is to take the nation’s wealth and return to it to the nation’s quote, “rightful owners.” Think reparations. Think forced reparations here if you want to understand what actually is going on.

Clearly, a brain that has suffered from prolonged and repeated abuse of OxyContin suffers almost total loss of reasoning power. Resulting in “arguments” like: Barack Obama’s secret plan is to start returning the nation’s wealth to black people in reparation for slavery, the first step in said plan being to bring about widespread unemployment.

In a future show, Limbaugh will no doubt critically examine, and explain to his rapt listeners, how Obama was able to force George Bush to participate in the forced-reparations conspiracy. How Obama was able to have him run year after year (after year after year) of huge deficits. How Obama was able to get him to comprehensively demolish the economy in every which way possible, in order to bring about the huge unemployment, which Obama would then capitalize on to implement the massive stealth program of food-stamps-and-unemployment-benefits wealth transfers.
