I like Keith Olbermann‘s name for the ugly-ass racist hatemonger: Boss Limbaugh.
What’s missing, though, is the right note of affection, so I’m going to affectionately contract it to “Bimbaugh”.
I also want to be sure I strike a properly respectful note, given his enormous standing in our polity. He inspires the Michael Steeles and Bobby Jindals of the world to worship; I’ll let him inspire me to prayer.
Every day, and in every way, I pray that the Bimbaugh continues to be the force to reckon with in the Republican party.
I love my country and our two-party system too much to hope that he fails; I pray that he succeeds in molding the Republican party in his own image.
I pray that he is inspired (by whatever forces he derives inspiration from these days, pharmaceutical or otherwise) to adopt the British model and create a shadow cabinet that we hear from regularly on all the important matters of the day.
I pray that his shadow cabinet makes (at least) as much noise and as much sense as he himself does.
I pray that his shadow cabinet includes both Rep. Michelle Bachmann and Sen. Jim Bunning .
I pray that his carefully considered prescriptions on policy matters ranging from economic policy to immigration to race relations become the prevailing orthodoxy of the Republican party.
