This is a Fantastic Idea

Lieberman Likely Saved By Obama – Political Wire :

“With President-elect Obama’s fingerprints seemingly everywhere, momentum appears to be building among Senate Democrats to let Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-CT) keep his chairmanship of the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee,” according to Roll Call.

Set aside – for the briefest of moments – Joementum knifing Bill Clinton, his total unwillingness to fight for Al Gore during the 2000 recount, his sour grapes run as an independent after losing to actual Democrat Ned Lamont in the 2006 CT Senate race, and then of course his full throated (nullus) support for John McCain even before it was clear who the Democratic nominee would be. All of these examples are bad enough, but it’s realistic enough to see Obama forgive and forget because bipartisanship is his schtick, and hey, he’s not really a Democrat anyway.

But if you have been following Lieberman since 2007, you know that he never used his chairmanship of the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee to investigate the Bush administration in any way, most egregiously in the case of their response to Hurricane Katrina. Simply put, he’s not fit for the job. And Obama is bigfooting Senate Dems into letting him jerk off his gavel for another two years.

At what point do people start acknowledging that there is a pretty good possibility that I’ve been right about Obama?

Agreed — he’s not fit for the job. Obama should can his ass.

Yeah, “people” really should recognize. I sense a populist movement taking root based on your view of Obama. Don’t misunderestimate the reach of 1115.org. Ha.

Obama isn’t perfect, far from it. His choice of Rahm was disappointing, but he did pick my first choice as VP, so I’ve got that going for me. Which is nice.
