Remember all the times in the last four years (just to take a random period of history) that people like George Bush have said “God bless America!”? I don’t know if blessing is anything like saving, but gods certainly decided to step in and save America. From the enemy within, which is unfortunately what the Republican Party managed to morph into under Bush. And McCain was determined to be a crueler, more callous and more incoherent incarnation of Bush.

More than anything else, I’m relieved. I didn’t really want to have to move to Canada.

For the last few years, I have busted my ass, spending more hours per week on the blog than I care to admit. More hours per week than I have ever spent on any job I ever had. All to fight the enemy from within.

I think I’m now going to give myself the day off. Maybe more than just a day…
