Here’s Sarah Palin, criticizing Barack Obama’s Wednesday night infomercial in her inimitable stream-of-unconsciousness style:

“In times of economic worry and hardship — crisis that we’re in right now — someone is attempting to put those concerns aside on Election Day — national security issues,” Palin told about 6,000 people at a convention center rally.

Her astonishing intellect allows her to see similarities where mere mortals might see none. So file it away for future use, just like I’ve done: economic hardship is a national security issue. (Unless it is a national security issues, which is always possible.)
