Sarah Palin‘s flat refusal to release any medical information whatsoever led me on October 20 to this responsible piece of speculative reporting:
I’m absolutely concerned, very concerned, that Sarah Palin may have had multiple abortions. I feel her secrecy about her medical history is concerning. I’m calling on the media to investigate her medical history. (And her secrecy.) I’m not saying she’s had multiple abortions. That would be a misreading of what I’m saying. I’m calling on the media to take a look at what the truth about her multiple abortions is. A penetrating exposé would be very nice.
It must be true that Palin gets her news from the internet, and her reading list must include 1115.org. Because:
In an interview with NBC’s Brian Williams last week, Palin said — apparently to the surprise of her staff — that she would release her full medical records soon. On Sunday, the campaign told ABC News the release would happen “early this week.â€
But “early this week†has come and gone.
Noting that “today is Wednesday,†ABC is wondering, “What’s the hold up?â€
ABC News has asked every day this week about the status of the release of information and received no updates from the campaign. It is unclear what is holding things up.
If Palin does indeed release her medical records, that will put the ugly rumors of multiple abortions to rest.
On the other hand, if she doesn’t release anything or releases only partial records, why then, that would pretty much confirm the multiple abortions hypothesis, wouldn’t it?
