It is not known at the time of going to press how Sarah Palin plans to live this down:
The Anchorage Daily News, Alaska’s largest newspaper, endorsed Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama Sunday after declaring Gov. Sarah Palin “too risky” to be one step away from the Oval Office.
The ADN actually pulled off a double diss:
“Like picking (Republican presidential candidate John) McCain for president, putting her one 72-year-old heartbeat from the leadership of the free world is just too risky at this time,” The Daily News said.
For reasons best known to itself — and which may or may not involve the deposition of brown matter on its corporate journalistic nose — the ADN is leaving itself the option of changing its mind in some future presidential election. (Hence the “at this time”.)
Since we at 1115 — or just little old me, actually — cannot visualize a possible future in which putting Palin one heartbeat away from the presidency would not be risky, we are happy to rush in where the ADN fears to tread:
Sarah Palin. No Way. Ever!
No Bloody Fricking Way.
