Does He Pass The Shoelace Test?

There are true confessions. And then there are true confessions.

Matt’s favorite cabinet member, Hank Paulson, probably put himself in line for a Congressional Medal of Honor with this one:

In an hourlong interview with The New York Times, Mr. Paulson defended Treasury’s actions, saying that he and his aides had done everything they could, given the deep-rooted problems of financial excess that had built up over the past decade.

“I could have seen the subprime problem coming earlier,” he acknowledged in the interview, quickly adding in his own defense, “but I’m not saying I would have done anything differently.”

Can this guy even tie his own shoelaces?

In the spirit of double redundancy, why not loafers with velcro?

(That would make as much sense as anything else Paulson has done.)
