Larry King on the Larry King Live blog last Friday; he seems to want an apology from John McCain too.:
Sen. John McCain appeared on CBS’ “Late Show with David Letterman†Thursday night, three weeks after he raised the ire of the generally mild-mannered host by canceling at the last minute, citing his decision to suspend his presidential campaign because of the financial crisis.
The Republican presidential candidate apologized for skipping out on a scheduled visit in September that Letterman later made the subject of an ongoing joke.
Note: Last month, Sen. John McCain cancelled an interview with “Larry King Live†as well. On Thursday, he re-scheduled with Letterman but we’re still waiting for the senator to re-schedule with us.
We’ve also extended an invitation to Gov. Palin to be a guest on the show, as Sen. McCain assured us would happen in his last appearance. As Sen. McCain said on the show back in July, â€I want to say that the vice presidential candidate will be on your show. I will not risk the wrath of Larry King. I want to assure you.â€
John McCain gave his word. Larry King got to see what it’s worth. So where’s the wrath of Larry King? Is this really the best he can do?
