I guess I’m lucky that I don’t have to choose between saying goodbye to Bush and saying goodbye to Hank Paulson, because that would honestly be a tough call. The AP just moved a piece headlined: “Paulson regrets mistakes on economy.” I was kind of astounded that the man who has made so many big ones in the last few years was actually owning up to them. “We’re not proud of all the mistakes that were made by many different people, different parties, failures of our regulatory system, failures of market discipline that got us here,” Paulson said in an interview on Fox Business Network.

I guess I’ll have to wait a while longer for Paulson to express regret for his own mistakes.
