I just referred to John and Sarah as John “No Shame” McCain, Sarah “Even Less” Palin.

They decided to underline this morning just how totally accurate that was.

With a straight face, the McCain-Palin has this morning released a report on the Troopergate scandal. The campaign has investigated the allegations against Governor Palin and — based on “based on public filings and Todd Palin’s affidavit” — is pleased to announce that it has cleared her of any wrongdoing.

(The NYT, by the way, reported that “(fired public safety commissioner Walt Monegan) and his aides were contacted about Mr. Wooten three dozen times over 19 months by the governor, her husband and seven administration officials.” That fact, we can only presume, does not appear in any public filings.)
