If Sarah Palin inspires you to poetry, there’s a website that’ll help you share it with the world. But we’re not talking the kind of ode that Pakistan’s president Asif Ali Zardari might pen, given the high esteem in which he holds Palin (or wanted to hold, at least).
No, this is about limericks. (And some of them, be warned, are pretty damn awful.)
Here’s one of the better ones:
The Presidential Debates are boring.
On the bus, the First Dude is snoring.
In the rear of the rig,
Sarah whispers to Trig,
I’ll be back in the news in the morning.
Since anyone can play, and Palin is truly inspirational to me, I applied my poetic nose to the grindstone, and came up with:
That comely lass from Wasilla
Is no intellectual gorilla.
In moments of stress
(Speaking to the press)
Her stream of unconsciousness is a killa
I’ve duly submitted it to The American Center For Sarah Palin Inspirational Limericks, and stand by to see if 15 minutes of fame will follow.
