tom – 9:03 – What do we need economists for when we have soccer moms? I thought she was a hockey mom anyway. Which is it?
tom – 9:08 – so far Palin’s comments sound memorized to me, either that or this is a robot imposter. “Maverick” count already 2 or 3, she’s dropping them too fast to tell.
jamie beth – 9:10 – joe is going to say “john mccain voted with bush 99% of the time”
tom – 9:10 – fuck joe six pack, i want barack 40 oz up in this motherfucker
jamie beth – 9:11 – “never again” — does she know that’s a holocaust reference. i wonder if she believes there was a holocaust.
jamie beth – 9:13 – you are going to get blasted for the 40 oz comment…but it is funny!
jamie beth – 9:15 – “i’m not going to answer the questions” can we just call the debate now?
tom – 9:15 – if this is class war, what was the Bolshevik revolution?

jamie beth – 9:27 – i have only been at this for 5 weeks and they haven’t prepped me on anything before that time and frankly, i wasn’t paying attention because, hell, even i don’t think i’m qualified for this and didn’t see it coming. oops!

jamie beth – 9:32 – it’s like i predicted, all offense, no defense. she’s just reading off her talking points. the sad thing is, i don’t think people realize that the ability to debate, really debate, is actually a sign of smarts. right now people are thinking, hey, she doesn’t look so bad, but she’s not playing by the rules because she’s not up to playing by the rules and that’s a problem.

tom – 10:33 – well that was much more entertaining than the pres debate. i think this was clearly a win for Biden, though Palin wasn’t quite as embarassing as she could have been. i wanna thank Jamie Beth for doing this with me this time, hopefully she will be up for it again for the next Presidential debate!
