Josh Marshall, late last night:
When Bob Dole lost to Bill Clinton in 1996, if anything it enhanced his reputation and popularity. His reputation, what people thought of him, wasn’t wrecked or even damaged by the campaign. The future seems quite different for McCain if he loses this election.
Not particularly profound (neither this passage nor the post). And it’s not clear why Marshall spent the time to write this post now, given that it is not only self-evidently true but a very large number of people have already said this a very large number of times in the last month or so (including, I’m sure, Marshall himself).
Buy, hey, anything that allows you to poke fun at pathetic Johnny is welcome.
So here’s what Johnny won’t be doing in 2009, or any time thereafter: selling Viagra.
