There’s no doubt that New Mexico senator Pete Domenici has the marquee role in the joint report of the Justice Department Inspector General and Office of Professional Responsibility on the the U.S. attorney firing scandal:
Domenici is mentioned 201 times throughout the 392-page report for his involvement in the firing of former U.S. attorney David Iglesias.
The report concludes that Iglesias’s removal was purely political.
And Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell has just confessed that he is even less honest than dear old Pete.
So now we just sit back and wait for the other shoe to drop?
