Four More Wars

History really does rhyme:

Vice President Dick Cheney called Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili to express U.S. solidarity in the conflict with Russia and told him “Russian aggression must not go unanswered,” the vice president’s office said on Monday.

George H. W. Bush (circa 1990):

This will not stand. This will not stand, this aggression against Kuwait.

Other than a stronger-than-normal desire to watch The Big Lebowski, I’m left wondering when exactly Cheney will tell us that the Russians will greet us with candy and flowers.
