Edwards to Drop Out

DENVER (AP) — Democrat John Edwards is exiting the presidential race Wednesday, ending a scrappy underdog bid in which he steered his rivals toward progressive ideals while grappling with family hardship that roused voters’ sympathies, The Associated Press has learned.
Obviously I have extensive thoughts about this. And with the “luxury” of two very long flights ahead of me, I’ll actually be able to write them down.
And in case there was any doubt, I’ll now be casting my ballot for Hillary on Tuesday. That’s two primary seasons in a row where my candidate didn’t make it to California.
(As an afterthought, if Edwards had received any coverage like the line quoted above when he was in the race, he wouldn’t be dropping out today.)

For the record, Matt and I are two minds with but a single thought.
I’ve been telling friends for weeks that if I have to hold my nose (the “if” being used instead of “when” only due to irrational hope), it’ll be Hillary, not Obama.
(The most I’m willing to do in support of Obama is buy loved ones who chose to disagree with me Obama t-shirts.)

I have always supported Sen. Edwards with pride and always thought he should have been the nominee in 2004 instead of Kerry. I beleive with all my heart, mind and soul, that OBAMA can and will lead this country and repair the damage done by the Bush Administration BETTER than Hillary ever could. He has more passion, smarts and above all class and dignity and wisdom. He restores our faith,
and makes me proud to be an American. Something I haven’t been able to say in a loooong time, if ever! As a democrat, as a woman, as a single parent, I know BARACK OBAMA is the only RIGHT CHOICE for me, my children and even my republican neibhors who are voting for OBAMA.

i’d love to know how you can say what you say about edwards and then be enthusiastic about voting for obama. really.

yes, we should find a way to monetize ALL CAPS. it wouldn’t be so cheap then.

you’d just be giving me the incentive to lure upper-case people with lurid, incendiary posts (assuming that pennies on the dollar would flow to me too)
