Rudee is the biggest wimp in America. He doesn’t have the courage of his convictions.

If you had earned $30 million in non-commission, from non-lobbying would you wimp out at that point and declare it as income, and pay taxes on it? Or would you stand by your convictions and say that non-commission constitutes non-income, and despite searching high and low on your income tax forms, you did not find a line for declaring non-income.

Rudee’s critics are trying to excoriate him for illegal non-lobbying. But that’s a thoroughly misconceived criticism. Rudee was, in fact, non-registered as a non-lobbyist. So everything is in order as far as that goes.
