In somewhat more serious sarcasm, haven’t we been told for +6 years now that el Presidente is also the COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF? In fact, hasn’t it been a top-line component of the Republican message machine, used to justify everything from overruling general officers, to vetoing war spending bills, to wiping his ass with the Constitution? I know the Pakistan situation is soaked in ironies, but does Bush need to add to the marinade?
