West Wing-esque

I have to admit, Bradley Whitford will forever be typecast (by me) as deputy chief-of-staff Josh Lyman from The West Wing. Few actors own a part to the extent that Whitford did over that show’s first few years, and so watching him speak as himself in a political ad is a bit surreal. Nevertheless, it’s great to see him donating his time to the Courage Campaign’s No Dirty Tricks ads opposing the California Republican ballot initiative designed to steal 20-something electoral votes in next year’s election. I’m all for retiring the anachronistic Electoral College, but it has to be done simultaneously, not state-by-state leaving a glaring distortion in the nation’s most populous state.
