Matt, aren’t you part of “themselves?”

well, i am getting a bit screwed by their policies, but nowhere near as bad as someone with a family, house with a below water mortgage, car to inject with oil, and kids in a shitty school system.

i’m lucky to be largely isolated from all of this nonsense. i have extremely cheap rent, not one penny of debt, and a low stress/short hour job that pays all my bills and allows me to spend as much time on photography as i like.

yes, i am very concerned about the sinking dollar and the possible erosion of my savings. i used my whole library of curse words (and made up some new ones) when helicopter ben cut rates last week.

i’m looking at ways to protect myself from inflation. i was looking at TIPS, but unfortunately the games that they play with the CPI would reduce the utility of that approach. and besides, el presidente told me that government paper is worthless.

i’m not going to get into the other options on the blog because A) i’m sure there are legal issues i don’t want to deal with, and B), in the immortal words of Johnny Caspar/Giovanni Casparro:

He’s sellin’ tips on how I bet, and that means part of the payoff that should be ridin’ on my hip is ridin’ on someone else’s.

i simply will not condone hip riding.
