Today’s Politician’s Assault on a Living Language (PEDALL) award goes to Sen. David Vitter:

I’m not going to answer endless questions about it all over again and again and again and again.

That’s a real funny way to say: “I haven’t taken a single question yet. And I have no intention of ever taking any questions. I’m not going to answer a single question about it even once.”

Of course, if you put the PEDALL to the MEDALL, it comes out as “I haven’t made a single question yet. And I have no intention of ever making any questions.”

(If you caught the press conference on TV, Wendy Vitter really didn’t have that “Ha! I sliced it off!” — or “I sliced them off!” — gleam in her eyes, did she?)
