Can someone explain to me why airlines regard it as a good idea to keep passengers cooped up in the airplane when there is obviously going to be a long, open-ended delay? Why don’t they allow them to deplane and wait in the terminal instead? Would it have anything to do with Homeland Security and TWAT?
