Interruption In A Lighter Vein

Indians — some of my best friends are Indians — pride themselves on speaking the Queen’s English, and are not above letting their American friends know what a painful desecration thereof American English actually is.

So I feel compelled to point out that the Sunday papers in India were gloating over astronaut Sunita Williams‘ new world record. But here’s how they described it: “a new world record for the longest uninterrupted space flight by a woman”.

I have diligently conducted internet searches for the flightus interruptus version of that record. For some reason, nothing comes up.
