It really isn’t right. The math, I mean:
Hilton … was expected to serve only 23 days because of a state law that requires shorter sentences for good behavior. … Inmates are given a day off their terms for every four days of good behavior.
A 45 day sentence, with one day off for every four served, magically turns into 23 days before your star-struck eyes. That’s magic for you, right there in a nutshell. It’s about distracting the viewer’s attention much more then sleight-of-hand.
As far as I can tell, no one else has called a foul on this.
