I really hadn’t intended to post a requiem for Jerry Falwell. But he was celebrated in Congress yesterday for having an unshakable moral compass.

And I am moved to point out that I fully agree.

Whether you agree with me or not may depend on whether we have the same definition of “unshakable moral compass”. Mine reads: “won’t point due north even if you shake it to death”.

Maybe that’s what the Good Lord finally did?
