Dear Dana Perino, While intentionally patrionizing the press by lying may seem amusing to YOU, sadly, it is not funny to to me. I know I speak for many people. It is bad enough that the Bush administration is noted for “not telling the truth” to the American people and we are not amused by this. For public servents such as the White House representative, such as you to name a few individuals, I feel that you all have a higher standard of responsibility to be as truthful and honest as possible when repsenting our government at a public forum. As one who holds such a prestigeous and public figure, I feel it is incumbant that you have the responsibility to treat the press and utlimately the American people, with more courtesy, respect, and honesty at your press conferences. There may be fine line between innocent humour and putting others down by fabricating information. This administration has done more thatn enough lying to the American public and we are fed up, lost respect, and have no faith in those who hold such high public offices and abuse these positions. At least those on “Air America” or Amy Goodman in :Democracy Now” are respected for their honesty and respect they give their viewers. I was taught respect is earned and received when given.
