What Was That About Power Being the Ultimate Aphrodisiac?

So I’ve mentioned before that I’m no fan of my Congressman out here in CA-12. I’ve got mixed feelings about it too, since Tom Lantos is a holocaust survivor and a Democrat. But his reflexive catering to the Israel lobby is a problem, as is the fact that he sat on $1.4 million in unspent campaign cash when that money could have delivered five or six more seats in the last election. But he’s 80 and probably won’t be around all that much longer so I don’t fixate on my irritation with him much.
On Saturday, I went downtown to catch the St. Patrick’s Day parade, and the first person I saw was Lantos. I’ve seen him before, so I wasn’t surprised that he looks about 110, but I was surprised to find that his wife appeared to have confused St. Paddy’s Day with Halloween:

More parade photos here. But don’t tell Sac, he’ll probably accuse me of damaging the “Irish Movement” by posting pictures of drunken idiots.

Jokes aside, these photos don’t help the anti-war movement, so why take them at all? Why even own a camera? And while we’re on the topic, the anti-war movement doesn’t help the bipartisanship-movement, and that’s downright seditious, so you should be ashamed of that too. Being a liberal at all or being critical of the Bush administration or the GOP is simply counteractive to the bipartisanship-movement and only serves to further divide our country. Grow up.

The Irish really are drunken idiots, so I don’t see a problem here.
Don’t worry, I’m half-Irish so it’s half-OK for me to joke about them.

I’m sure you misunderstood. I read that the Tokyo Kabuki theater was in town last weekend, and he just picked up the hot one.
