“President Bush will launch another major public-relations offensive to strengthen support for the Iraq war — this time likely emphasizing the high stakes and changing nature of the battle more than the progress being made.” The new series of speeches begins tomorrow at the annual American Legion convention in Utah and will continue through the 9/11 anniversary.
It’s just like they taught us when we were kids. If at first you don’t succeed… So the Bush administration is to be commended for not giving up on the war to sell the war.
But these half-measure marketing tactics are never going to work. Why do they keep trying this same-old-same-old bullsh**? Anyone with an IQ greater than their age should have realized by now that tweaking the message slightly is not likely to work at this stage. What they need is a bold new direction in their re-marketing efforts, a radical departure. Luckily, I have just the thing for them.
Strikes me that the one thing they haven’t tried yet is the one thing that is widely recognized to work in the selling business. Simply put, they need to use sex to sell the Iraq war. I hate to give away my best ideas to this bunch of clowns, but this is just too important. I wouldn’t be able to live with myself if I couldn’t rise above petty-minded partisanship.
