SF Gay Pride Parade 2006
by matt at 6:00 am on June 28th, 2006 in GeneralSan Francisco Pride was nice enough to grant me a press pass for this year’s SF Gay Pride Parade, so I spent this past Sunday testing out the new camera and taking in the scene that is guaranteed when a million open-minded people have the run of the city for a day. I didn’t have a chance to write anything this year, but my words from last year stand.

This is the only time that a bunch of white people can actually get organized about something…. If people didn’t like something the government was doing, they’d complain but they have no organizational skills to actually do something about it.

You know, I don’t really care if these people march around and celebrate their way of life even if I disagree with it, that’s why America is great, however, answer me one question, why on Earth does gay pride = wearing leather chaps, vest, and well, not much else??? Are the costumes really meant to just scare the “closed-minded” people away from San Francisco?

It may not be having that effect because I hear all the time how we need to send Christian Missions to SF and California in general…they see it as a New Sodom and Gomorrah,…pass the salt…
