While on the surface, this might seem like an assainine comment, consider how many women MUST prositite themselves in order to feed themselves, feed their children (if they have any), and perhaps provide some sort of shelter outside of the street-side tent they have sex in. This is a very important factor in the continuation of many STD’s. This is not opinion, this is fact. So, abstinence is not the end all, be all, other side of the world, period on the end of the sentence answer. Now comes the important part of picking apart a politicians decision/comments - an effective counterdecision. What else can be done…. Empowerment might be a better solution. How can these women be empowered? By increasing their offerings to society. Their are many different ways to do this, education may be the best route.
