CA-50

Trout reminded me that the special election to replace Duke Cunningham in the CA-50 is quickly approaching. Francine Busby is a good candidate who, from everything I’ve read, really gets it. But there is a larger opportunity here to shape the November elections by winning a seat that has been under (corrupt) Republican control for 15 years in a district that George W. Bush carried by 11 points in 2004. Should Busby win, either by getting more than 50% in the April 11th special election or a plurality in the June runoff, the media would be free to start writing the narrative of a Democratic takeover.
You don’t need to live in CA-50 to get involved. You can donate here or volunteer to make GOTV calls here. Please consider helping Busby and our chances in November.
