What Will He Be Thinking?

At some point Cheney is going to appear before someone in the media. He’s going to be asked if he’s sorry about the shooting. And he’s going to say, in his own inimitable style, that of course he’s sorry.

Now here’s the question: what is he going to be thinking inside as he says that?

I’ll kick if off with some nominations. And then we want to hear from you.

  • Of course, I’m sorry! Now go (screw) a duck!
  • For all the grief I’ve gotten, I may as well have killed the old bastard.
  • Don’t punch her lights out, don’t punch her lights out, don’t punch her lights out, don’t …

    1. “Lord Satan, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and please give this reporter cancer. And not one of the easy cancers either, one of the really bad ones, like face cancer of something.
Man, I’m getting hungry. I can’t wait to sink my teeth into that roasted baby sandwich I brought for lunch.”

“That’s one wiretap for CNN’s John King. One for you, too, CBS’s John Roberts. Fox’s Carl Cameron, I’m dissappointed, you’re supposed to ask what we tell you to ask. Its Gitmo for you, buddy.”

    3. JimC says:

I think he will climb up on the podium and scream “King of the world, baby! Whoohooo!”, then slip and fall on Martha Raddatz of ABCNews who will suffer a broken collar bone. Cheney realizing he just crushed a reporter will stand up and promptly leave issuing no statement.

some one pretending to be JimC?

      >some one pretending to be JimC?

No, it was me, why? I can joke about Cheney can’t I?

    6. screwtape says:

sure. I’m just a little shocked is all.

    7. forager says:

I’m going with the old sports adage: “Today, we shocked the world!”

Just wondering…what part of “what is he going to be thinking inside as he says that?” is so hard to understand?

Breathes there a man with brain so dead (and attention span so non-existent) that he can’t properly follow a 12-line post (in which several lines run to 2 or 3 words)?

      Amazing! Simply amazing!

Nick, were you actually assuming that Cheney would face a battery of reporters? Shame on you!

(Maybe in some parallel universe where the vice President of these United States, being the second most powerful man in the universe, can bring an Uzi into a press conference, and let it do the talking, no questions asked.

But not in our girly-man world of political correctness where such things lead to sniping in the liberal blogs.)

Shame on me, indeed. I’ll have to go sit in my shame closet and think about what I said…

So predictable, I was waiting on you to nail me on this…but hey, so what, I think screwtape liked it, so obla di obla da life goes on….

Jim may be a gop zombie, but at least he participated in a friendly way. He kept the focus on Cheney and followed the spirit of the “rules” if not the letter. He made fun of Dick. What the heck more do you want? Sure, it was not particularly hilarious. But the guy is a conservative xian computer programmer with a stick up his ass, not a comedian. And he’s from Ohio. Cornhole is their state game. He’s doing the best he can.

This type of social behavior on his part should be rewarded, not punished. I do not see the point of abusing him for this post, especially when he has so many other posts that are so richly deserving of abuse.

      Thanks….I guess??? :-)

Without exception, everyone I know who has spent time in Ohio is nuts. I lived in northern Illinois briefly. I liked it well enough, but there were too many nazis. I hate Illinois nazis.

Well if yo stay away from Ohio’s big cities, its not too bad. I’ve been out of Illinois now for about 8 years so perhaps the Nazi problem is recent development….however, they showed up here in Toledo a while back and made a big mess…
