Quid Pro Quo:

If the Jews don’t shut their big mouths, well then, the Religious Right might just stop supporting Israel. The Chosen People need to get with the program, already:

During the broadcast, Wildmon stated that Anti-Defamation League (ADL) President Abraham H. Foxman “got himself kind of in a bind” by criticizing the religious right. “[T]he strongest supporters Israel has are members of the religious right — the people he’s fighting,” Wildmon said. “[T]he more he says that ‘you people are destroying this country,’ you know, some people are going to begin to get fed up with this and say, ‘Well, all right then. If that’s the way you feel, then we just won’t support Israel anymore.’ “

Well this just works perfectly with the statements Mr. Adje-who-ever of Iran has made within the last week regarding Israel and his desire to have the nation moved to Europe (I’m sure he was talking about the principle, but I don’t doubt his sincerity or his absolute glee should it happen). This, ‘I’m taking my ball with me,’ attitude is deplorable and disgusting. So much for the great ‘moral authority’ that so many Americans on either side of the aisle have placed in the religious right’s hands. Then again, I haven’t acquiesced my right to employ my own moral foundations in lieu of a soap box preaching, money laundering, racist, sexist, bigoted, and hypocritcal evangelical hussy’s attempts to convert me to the ‘path of righteousness.’

I think Wildmon’s threat is an empty one. Wildmon most likely believes he and his pals will be raptured one day soon. So, what’s the difference between losing their support now or later, if they can’t be counted on anyway?

Personally, I adhere to Blondie’s credo on Rapture:

“And you don’t stop, sure shot
Go out to the parking lot
And you get in your car and you drive real far
And you drive all night and then you see a light
And it comes right down and lands on the ground
And out comes a man from Mars…”

Nick! Dood! Guy! Way to quote the Blondie. My pooter’s dead hence my absence. And of course Wildmon’s threat is empty. Empty as Bush’s mandate. Still, the sniveling and whining is enough to make me start drinking again. It’s been 8 of the longest days of my life. I swear.

I KNEW that was you! Give my love to the dogs. Fuck the roomates. Well, don’t, but you get me.

I think the remarks for withdrawel of support for Israel were very irresponsible. However, ADL is far from being free of their own anti-Christian agenda and that’s fine. No matter, I don’t support any withdrawel of support for the Jews even the ones who could care less about God….the ADL may criticise the religious right, that they are Jews does not by default make them authoritative in matters God as I have recently learned.

    Blessing Israel…
