Thanks to abject incompetence on the part of our hosting company (LunarPages), we were forced to completely rebuild 1115.org for the second time in six months. And just like the last clusterfuck, this one came with a 24-hour deadline on a major holiday weekend. Thanks, assholes; I didn’t really want to go to the beach anyway.

But just as our January switch from Movable Type to WordPress was a major improvement, the upgrade from WordPress 1.2 to 1.5 should work out just as well. One noticeable benefit is of course the return of post comments. We installed some new spam protection software, and that should make having comments worth it again. We didn’t enjoy having them off, but fighting off spam attacks was taking up more time than reading legitimate ones. In any event, thanks to everyone who emailed or IMed comments to us, and to all who complained about the comments being off: step it up. We’ll leave them on as long as they are used and spam remains under control, so if you want comments to stay, use them.
