On Tuesday May 31, 2005, news organizations reacting to a story in the sacrilegious publication Vanity Fair reported the identity of a confidential source used by un-American journalists Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein. In attempting to deify the reporters and the source, W. Mark Felt, the mainstream media has given their approval to three men who have achieved nothing, and in the process destroyed the Presidency of the morally upright Richard Milhous Nixon. Men like this, who sought the downfall of this Christian nation, should be in prison rather than taking victory laps on the front page of every major newspaper.

Far more troubling than the announcement of the traitorous confidential source’s name was the reprehensible repetition of the pornographic name, “D**p Thr**t,” as Felt insisted on being called. Had there been any moral leadership at the Washington Post in 1974, this disgusting moniker would never have been authorized. Without such morals, we have been subjected to this sleaze for more than 30 years now.

It was with shock and outrage yesterday that every story about Felt, Woodward, and Bernstein contained this sinful nickname. The continuing lack of rectitude from news editors made it inevitable that this filth would find its way onto the kitchen tables of nearly every American family.

Focus on the Family has filed complaints with the FCC against all broadcast outlets and prepared letters to the editors of all newspapers using this repulsive phrase.

God willing, this will be the last time such abhorrent language appears in the media.
