ah, its funny to see KDJ and 3 chairs in with all that other stuff on rob’s list. the amazingness of detroit house rules over all.

what can i say? sometimes when I’m listening to them driving through the D, the synchroncity between the city and the music gives me chills..and this was by far Kenny’s best record. Theo’s record didn’t cut it for me though.

im a total theo fanboy and i bought the rotating assembly record just because its by him, but im not really feeling it almost at all. theres about 2 tracks on there that i like alot, the rest just isnt the bomb. the 3 chairs record i thought was better than kenny’s though. i just love detroit house. did you check out the omar s 12″s? theyre terrific, its a cat who is friends with rick wilhite (whose record this year was really nice as well…).

oh yeah, did you check black mahogani 2? that might be my new favorite kenny record. totally awesome minimal jazzy live house stuff. its what the theo record wanted to be, but kenny pulled it off flawlessly. ive got the mp3s, the vinyl is crazy expensive (i bought it anyway :).
