With the election just a handful of days away, tempers are percolating in all quarters. Two recent incidents offer anecdotal evidence at just how hot things are.

Former Florida Secretary of State Katherine Harris (of the Great Election Theft of 2000&trade) was nearly run over by a fellow Floridian on Tuesday. The perpetrator, Barry Seltzer, explained his actions:
“I was exercising my political expression.”
On the other side of the aisle, another Florida man is in custody for threatening to stab his girlfriend over her choice for President.
Scott Soper, who will enter the Marines as soon as he passes the GED test, solidly supports Bush.
That sounds about right.
Soper became enraged Tuesday night when his 18-year-old girlfriend said she was leaving him — and voting for John Kerry for president.
No word on whether she told him she’d been “faking it” the whole time.
I vote for Harris and Soper to get together. They deserve each other.
