“Proclaiming mission accomplished certainly doesn’t make it so.”

John Kerry takes charge. Any questions?
Thursday night at the Democratic National Convention didn’t have the charm of Bill Clinton, the youthful exuberance of Barack Obama, the fire of Al Sharpton or the southern drawl of John Edwards. But in the end, it will be judged as the most effective of the four nights.
Sen. Joe Biden and General Wesley Clark brutally attacked and condemned the administration, Veterans Max Cleland and Jim Rassmann vouched for Kerry’s bravery and leadership, and Kerry stepped in and gave his best performance of the campaign (so far).

I will be a commander in chief who will never mislead us into war. I will have a vice president who will not conduct secret meetings with polluters to rewrite our environmental laws. I will have a secretary of Defense who will listen to the best advice of our military leaders. And I will appoint an Attorney General who actually upholds the Constitution of the United States.”
John Kerry has risen to the challenge. Will you?
