Nice Place to Visit, But…

Continuing his almost perfect record of emphasizing politics and pandering over policy and governance, the President made his 30th trip to Pennsylvania since taking office 41 months ago. For the math wizards out there, that’s one trip to Pennsylvania every 5.4 weeks for three-and-a-half years.

Rather than enact programs that would help a state that has lost over 150,000 manufacturing jobs and seen its average wages consistently fall, the President enacted destructive, illegal tariffs on steel and continues to spend almost as much time glad-handing as he spends on vacation.

Any President has almost unlimited latitude to fly around the country on Air Force One and call it official business rather than campaigning, but few make so many visits to states that are so adversely affected by their policies.

I think the solution is obvious: Move the White House to Pennsylvania or a different state that has a lot of electoral votes.
