Two quick examples of how the Bush Administration is busy protecting our good ol’ American values:

1) Remember the White House blow-up over Bush’s interview by an Irish Reporter? Most of us expected the story to fade away a week ago, but things haven’t quite turned out that way. It seems that the administration was so offended over the whole affair that they actually lodged a formal complaint with the Irish Government. Someone needs to get the President a pacifier and a blanky, STAT…he’s way past his naptime.

2) At a recent Bush campaign stop in West Virginia, two people wearing anti-Bush shirts were taken out of the crowd in restraints by the local police. In addition, they were charged with trespassing, despite the fact that they had tickets to the event. Mind you, the speech was on July 4 — so I’m sure there was much talk of all the liberty and freedoms we enjoy as Americans.

As long as you get with the program, you can have all the freedom you want!
