One of the great things about living in the San Francisco area is that you never have to wait very long for some ridiculous story to break wide open. In addition to the usual gayprideearthquakegoldengategodlesshaightstreethippie image that SF conveys to the rest of the country, you can now add the following: cops acting in porn videos.

It’s causing no end of embarrassment for the SFPD and the Sheriff’s Department, but a cop couple caught moonlighting in a 45-minute porn video are probably going to hold on to their badges.

In one scene, the 29-year-old Francisco — who goes by the name Mira in the video — solicits a sex act for $500.

She and Watts, 27, then vigorously proceed to demonstrate a variety of full cavity search techniques not found in the standard police manual.

(Feel free to take the SF Chronicle’s lead with any jokes of your own. This should get you started: bust, nightstick, strip search, putting the gun in the holster, deep undercover.)

Officers Francisco and Watts appear on the internet site charmingly titled Bus Stop Whores (warning! extremely NSFW). What’s really ironic about this is that Officer Watts’ beat is in San Francisco’s notorious Tenderloin district, which is well known for it’s seedy porn theaters and prostitution problems.

All in all, the most amusing San Francisco story of the week…if you don’t count the homeless guy with the brand-new Harley Davidson.
