Gunning Down Avalanches

I could hardly be a bigger fan of Alpine Meadows Ski Resort, but this just takes the cake.
They have been using an Army Howitzer to prevent avalanches.
“It was designed to kill people, but it’s a very valuable safety tool for us,” said Rachael Woods, a spokeswoman at Lake Tahoe’s Alpine Meadows
If there’s an avalanche at Alpine next season, I blame the President. Obvs.
