In a morning meeting on Wednesday, Mr. Bremer warned the Iraqi leaders that they risked isolating themselves and their country if they continued to snub the United Nations. According to Iraqi and American officials, Mr. Bremer pointedly warned them of a “confrontation” with the United States if the Iraqis failed to invite the organization back.

Now pick yourself up off of the floor and read that again. Later, rinse, repeat (which would also be good advice for Bremer’s hair-helmut).

The administration line on this one: “Follow our massively hypocritical orders, deal with an institution that we have rendered all but irrelevant, or we will punish you severely.”

I swear the administration policy shop is staffed by two monkeys with typewriters flinging their own poop at each other.
