Random

I was just thinking about how random things have become, and then I ran across this at Aeki Tuesday. Put your iPod or CD changer on random and write down the first 20 tracks that come up. Here’s what my iPod kicked to me:
A Rocket In Dub - “If music could talk”
Nine - “Jon Doe”
Sebadoh - “Soul and Fire”
Mad Professor - “Disco Dude”
LTJ Bukem - “Live @ Amnesia 1994″
Tyler Stadius - “Feel It”
Sean Paul - “Gimme the Light Rmx (Ft Busta Rhymes)”
The Disciples - “Astral Flame”
E-Dancer - “World of Deep - carl craig remix”
J-Live - “Longevity”
808 State - “Lift”
Augustus Pablo - “Jungle Rock”
Sinead O’Connor - “Just Like U Said it Would Be”
LL Cool J - “The Boomin System”
Public Enemy - “Fight the Power”
Linval Thompson - “Never Push Your Brother”
Masta Ace - “Take a Walk”
Lord Finesse - “Check the Method”
Tosca - “Fuck Dub (Baby Mammoth 3 Mix)”
Attica Blues - “Blueprint (Photek Mix)”
Ben & Jerry’s Oatmeal Cookie Chunk is the rinse out. It’s my new favorite flavor even though I still like saying “Dulce de Leche” better.
New blogs to check out:
Photographer and pirate Dean Beattie has started a blog to compliment his excellent photo site. Make sure to check both.
University of California economics professor Brad DeLong has been all over the newest administration lies about employment. Political blogs are nice, but when you turn a trained economist loose on things, it just comes down to math.

How about Electablog? I’m normally skeptical of blogs that overtly advertise themselves on more successfull/established blogs, but it turns out that Electablog is pretty good most of the time.
Check out this entry on the citizen pundit. It’s a pretty good point.

Electablog is ok, and I have no problem with blogs advertising themselves. This blog has been much more fun to write as the traffic has increased, so i’d advertise if i had the chance.
That said, I get much more out of Marshall, Atrios, Calpundit, Billmon and DeLong (who is speaking at Berkeley tonight). That’s why I read them everyday, and others only when i have time.
